Appropriate channel for a synthetic VDR/document-evidence challenge?
#4280
Could you advise whether there is an appropriate channel for a single invitation to a synthetic document-evidence challenge relevant to Docling builders?
I organize the free, kudos-only Frontier Due Diligence Challenge — Season 1 for Apex Growth Systems LLC. Participants retain their original work; no purchase or commercial IP assignment is required. The deadline is October 17, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. No cash prizes, Kaggle points/medals, guaranteed investor review or contracts.
The optional Project Atlas v0.1 pack contains fictional acquisition records, public worked answers and reproducible accounting checks. It is a teaching/development set with explicit realism limits, not a held-out benchmark. It permits attributed research/education/evaluation reuse; commercial resale/integration requires separate permission.
The specific task is reliable document ETL with exact source/version/page/cell locators, preserved originals and lineage, numeric reconciliation and revised findings after new evidence. The current pack uses Markdown/CSV/JSON; it does not implement Docling or contain scanned-PDF/OCR evaluation coverage. A useful contribution would add clearly synthetic varied-layout/scanned documents and measure extraction/locator correctness against ground truth rather than report promotional feature counts.
This is a separate organizer initiative, not a Docling endorsement or partnership. If event invitations are out of scope here, a pointer to an appropriate channel is enough; I will not cross-post the invitation within this repository.
Thank you,
Ahmed Alaa Hassan
